Stat! Writing the Medical Drama

What’s not to love about medical dramas? From St. Elsewhere and ER to Grey’s Anatomy and House, the TV subgenre never fails to tug at our heartstrings with tales of flawed humans with the power to save lives or wow us with obscure medical conditions that send us spiraling down WebMD.

On this special evening, our panel of writers dissect their process for writing medical dramas, from how they conduct research for each episode to how they keep stories and characters fresh and nuanced.

Panelists:

  • Zoanne Clack – Grey’s Anatomy, Presidio Med

  • David Shore – The Good DoctorHouse

  • Lydia Woodward – ERPresidio MedChina Beach

  • John Sacret Young – China BeachThe West Wing

Moderated by Laurence Andries (Medical InvestigationSix Feet Under)

Stay tuned for more panelist announcements!

Doors open at 7pm. Event starts at 7:30pm.
