Community Programs Overview

The Writers Guild Foundation recognizes that our mission to engage and educate emerging writers cannot be fulfilled without a deep commitment to equity and accessibility.

Through our community programs, we aim to create pathways for students and underserved communities to meaningfully connect with WGAW membership and make use of our educational resources.

Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program

Provides writers from underrepresented backgrounds with the tools and education to become a writers’ assistant and script coordinator, resulting in meaningful employment opportunities.

Provides educational resources, professional guidance, and career-building opportunities for Veterans Writing Project alumni who are on the threshold of breaking into the industry.
