Having just wrapped its debut season, Showtime drama The Chi introduced us to life in the South Side of Chicago through the eyes of its compelling cast of characters, who make up a community connected by circumstances and a common need for redemption.
On this special night, the writers discuss their process for crafting the first season's 10 episodes (which are available to read in the Library, btw!) plus shed a light on how their writers room works.
Panelists:
Lena Waithe - Creator and Executive Producer
Justin Hillian - Story Editor
Marcus Gardley - Executive Story Editor
Cathy Kisakye - Staff Writer
Moderated by Stacey Wilson Hunt, Hollywood Editor at Vulture.
Doors open at 7pm. Event starts at 7:30pm.
