Writers on Genre: Horror

  • The Writers Guild Foundation 7000 West 3rd Street Los Angeles, CA, 90048 United States (map)

Writing in the horror genre does not have to be terrifying. On this special evening, two masters of horror—Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead) and Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man, Saw, Insidious)—share how they approach crafting their screenplays, from how they build suspense to how they translate their stories to the screen as writers/directors.

All events advertised on our “Events” page are open to anyone who wants to buy a ticket – not just WGA members!

We will have a first come, first serve stand-by line at the event. The stand-by line does not guarantee entry into the event. We will only accept credit card transactions for any released seats.

Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s library, archive and other outreach programs.

All Writers Guild Foundation events are subject to our Code of Conduct Policy and Event Ticket Policy.
