WGF x Business of Creating: Financing Indie Projects

We at the WGF may have hit a pause on our live events, but thanks to technology, we’re aiming to provide more access to advice and knowledge from film and TV writers while we’re all social distancing. Over the next few weeks, we’re hosting free Zoom panels about craft and all things relevant to writers.

For this session, we once again team up with Business of Creating for a conversation with seasoned entertainment executives on financing independent projects and practical steps you can take while staying at home. Topics include structuring investor agreements; what to include in your financing presentation deck and how that differs from a talent presentation deck; and how to attract financing in a Covid world.

Panelists:

  • Joseph Lanius, Founding Partner at Lanius Law & Associates

  • Amanda Marshall, President of Cold Iron Films

  • Todd Olsson, President of International at Highland Film Group

Moderated by Jennifer Mangan, writer/producer, Beautiful Day Productions

Panel begins at 4:00pm Pacific Time.

Space is limited so RSVP now. After signing up, you’ll receive information on how to access the Zoom panel.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at events@wgfoundation.org.

For anyone who was unable to RSVP for the panel, we will record and post them at a later date.
