Online Conversation: Writing for Theater and TV

We at the WGF may have hit a pause on our live events, but thanks to technology, we’re aiming to provide more access to advice and knowledge from film and TV writers while we’re all social distancing. Over the next few weeks, we’re hosting free Zoom panels about craft and all things relevant to writers.

For this session, we hear from playwrights and TV writers Liz Flahive (GLOW, The Madrid) & Carly Mensch (GLOW, Len, Asleep at Vinyl), Katori Hall (P-Valley, Hurt Village), and Steven Levenson (Fosse/Verdon, Dear Evan Hansen) on how they transitioned from the stage to the screen and what theater principles have helped them develop careers writing for television. Moderated by WGF librarian Lauren O’Connor.

Panel starts at noon Pacific Time.

Space is limited so RSVP now. After signing up, you’ll receive information on how to access the Zoom panel.

We are now offering the option to RSVP with a suggested donation of $10. Every dollar helps the WGF continue to provide online seminars and resources while we’re all staying at home. If you’d like to make an additional donation, please visit our Donation page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at events@wgfoundation.org.

For anyone who was unable to RSVP for the panel, we will record and post them on our blog at a later date.
