Online Conversation with Business of Creating: Developing and Marketing Your Project—Practical Action Steps You Can Take While Staying Home

We at the WGF may have hit a pause on our live events, but thanks to technology, we’re aiming to provide more access to advice and knowledge from film and TV writers while we’re all social distancing. Over the next few weeks, we’re hosting free Zoom panels about craft and all things relevant to writers.

For this session, we team up with Business of Creating for a conversation with seasoned entertainment executives on how to develop and market your projects while staying at home. Topics will include: what development executives look for when considering a project, how to evaluate and improve material, why marketing gets involved so early, and what marketing/development materials you can create from your home office.

Panelists:

  • Michael Fisk, Owner, Intermark Strategy and Consulting

  • Randy Greenberg, Executive Producer, The Meg

  • Jean McDowell, SVP of Marketing, Miramax

  • Tim Sullivan, President of Production and Development, Emmett/Furla Oasis Films

Moderated by Jennifer Mangan, writer/producer and co-founder of Business of Creating.

Panel begins at 4:00pm Pacific Time.

Space is limited so RSVP now. After signing up, you’ll receive information on how to access the Zoom panel.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at events@wgfoundation.org.

For anyone who was unable to RSVP for the panel, we will record and post them at a later date.
